What payment methods do you accept?

All major debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay, through our secure Shopify checkout.

Can I change or cancel my order after I place it?

Email sales@hotlikeamexican.com as soon as possible. If your order has not been packed yet we can usually adjust it. Once it is on the courier we cannot recall it.

My order is wrong, damaged, or missing items. What now?

Email sales@hotlikeamexican.com with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will sort it out.

When will my order ship?

Ambient items (chips, salsas, cooking sauces) ship Mon to Fri. Frozen items only dispatch Mon, Tue, or Wed to keep the cold chain intact. See our shipping policy for the full schedule and cutoffs.

Where do you deliver?

Ambient items: anywhere in Aotearoa. Frozen items: North Island and South Island urban addresses only, not to rural. Full zones and rates are in our shipping policy.

What if my frozen order arrives thawed?

Email sales@hotlikeamexican.com within 24 hours of delivery with a photo of the package and the items.

How should I store frozen items when they arrive?

Move them straight to your freezer at minus 18°C or colder. Do not refreeze once thawed.

How long do frozen meals last in the freezer?

Up to 9 months in the freezer, as long as it has not been thawed.

How long does an opened jar of cooking sauce keep?

Once opened, keep refrigerated and use within one week.

Where do I find allergen info for a specific product?

Every product page has a What's Inside tab with the full ingredient list, allergen pills, and nutrition panel.

Is your kitchen MPI-approved?

Yes. We operate under MPI approval MPI008885/1, registered and verified by New Zealand's Ministry for Primary Industries.
